Fine Percussion Doublebarrel Rifle Ebbecke Herzberg about 1840

Round Damascus barrels with engraved breechblocks, triple silver lines, wide breechblock blade engraved in Prague style with arabesques. Very well preserved pistons, rear locks engraved with acanthus, silver medallions with flying game and hares. Fittings also finely engraved with arabesques, trigger guard with fleeing dog. Trigger guard end in pineapple shape in English style. Grained walnut stock with cheek piece, fine, sharp checkering. Original ramrod with ball puller and nickel silver screw connections. Length 123 cm, barrel length 82 cm, trigger distance 35.5 cm. Steel parts slightly patinated, barrels bright. This Herzberg weapon was probably built in the English style for the Hanoverian hunters, very easy to handle. Suitable for a clay pigeon muzzle loader due to the good function and quality of the locks. Ebbecke is mentioned from 1832 – 76 (Stöckel Vol. 1).
