Square blade with crossguard and serial number, spring-loaded release button, white metal grip. Guide groove stamped with German regimental marking. Steel scabbard with lanyard hole and ball tip. Length 46.3 cm, blade length 34.3 cm. Blade in very good condition, scabbard with fine, cleaned rust spots. This bayonet, after shortening and modification of the scabbard, was used by the Wehrmacht and the Volkssturm.
