Wedge blade with wide ribbing, ricasso stamp “Deutsche Maschinenfabrik A.G. Duisburg”. Back stamp W16 (date of issue 1916), Prussian acceptance. Correctly sharpened saw with acceptance mark, fire protection plate, screwed knurled walnut grips, pommel with strong knob and acceptance mark. Blackened steel scabbard with leather weapon pouch on the side, maker’s stamp on the back. Length 50.2 cm, blade length 37.0 cm. Blade with two small rust spots, otherwise very good condition. Scabbard cracked and black. Leather with intact rivets and stitching.
