Fine Percussion Pistol Spain 1858

Octagonal, browned barrel transitioning from a baluster to round, engraved with acanthus, the baluster with fine iron carving, cannon muzzle. The weapon is chambered in the Spanish standard caliber of 17.6 mm. The chamber is signed “Eibar por Patricio vidarte ano 1858,” surrounded by a bouquet of flowers inlaid in silver. The lock plate is engraved with acanthus, as are the steel fittings. It features an engraved iron pommel cap with a retaining ring. The figured walnut stock has silver sliding plates for removing the barrel. The original ramrod has a screwed-on worm (bullet puller). Overall length 33 cm, barrel length 17.5 mm. The weapon shows minimal signs of age and is in excellent working order with a strong spring.
