Percussion Pistol England, about 1840

660 €*

Damascus steel barrel with a wide, flattened top and an inset silver front sight. The breech screw features a gold line and a deeply stamped gold maker’s mark, “Glough Bath.” The lock plate has fine acanthus engraving and a safety catch, signed “GLOUGH BATH” on the front. Engraved steel fittings. The figured walnut stock has oval sliding plates for removing the barrel, a polished horn butt plate, and an old but replaced ramrod. Overall length 29 cm, barrel length 16 cm. The iron surface has a thin, old patina, otherwise it is in good condition and the lock functions very well.
